After finishing my bachelor degree in media, film and cultural studies at the University of Wolverhampton in the UK, and working on a few turbulent projects in film production in Luxembourg, I left the film business in 2002 and switched to tourism.
From 2002 to 2015, I restructured as general manager the 5* holiday park Camping Birkelt with 430 pitches in Larochette in Luxembourg from the bottom up and managed the turnaround to modern, popular and profitable company. I negotiated the sale of the company to an international group in 2015, along with a fully planned and approved development project for a further 130 pitches and a new swimming pool complex.
Following my interest in tourism and destination development, I completed a master degree in regional economic management at the Fachhochschule Vorarlberg in Dornbirn / Austria. Since 2015, I have been working as an independent consultant and project manager on topics such as tourism, destination and business development, offering advice and support to companies, municipalities, cities and regions in the implementation of development and revitalization projects.
In addition to revenue management and business model development, the valuation of tourism companies and real estate such as campgrounds, holiday resorts and hotels has become a focus of both my personal interest and work, as this is almost inevitable in business transfers.
